TRANQUILITY FARM is located 10 miles west of Casper and 190 miles NW of Cheyenne, Wyoming in Natrona County.  Casper is an considered the hub of Wyoming shopping and trade with of 60,000 people.  In addition to all the supporting businesses, there is a Natrona County International Airport, two high schools and 2 year community collage. 

 

The farm is in the Natrona County School District with a new rural elementary school is 4 miles north of the farm.  Middle & High schools are in Casper.  There is Bus service to the schools from the farm.

IRRIGATION:

IRRIGATION WATER is supplied by The Casper-Alcova Irrigation District, a Bureau of Reclamation project and in normal years water is available from the middle of May through the middle of September.  There are 2 pivot sprinkler systems with electric pumps, both systems are Valley Pivots and are in good operating condition. 

 

East Valley Pivot – 7 tower/end gun – 125 ± acres:

 

In 2005 installed brand new electrical wire from pivot point to pump.  All new parts (ie. new pad, sprinkler package, new computerized control panel & cams)  Warranty – Gearboxes have 5 years or 2,870 hours left.

 

West Valley Pivot – 8 tower/end gun – 155 ± acres:

 

            In 2004 installed brand new electrical wire from pivot point to pump.

In 2005 new concrete pad & computerized control panel on 7-16-08,

replaced (under warranty) computerized control panel.

Currently the control box has 962 hours, control box warranty expires 7-16-10.

 

The balance of the farm irrigated from gated pipe.  All head gates and irrigation structures are in operating condition.

 

LIVESTOCK:

TRANQUILITY FARM has been used for hay production and livestock wintering operation for years.
